Nepal successfully hosted its first-ever Himalayan International Stroke Summit (HISS) 2025 from August 16–17, organized by the Nepal Stroke Association in collaboration with the Nepal Stroke Project. The conference brought together stroke experts from Nepal and 11 other countries and was inaugurated by the Honorable Minister for Health and Population, Mr. Pradeep Paudel.

Scientific sessions featured leading national and international experts discussing clinical advancements, research updates, and policy directions, followed by skill-based workshops on stroke assessment, thrombolysis, mechanical thrombectomy, and rehabilitation techniques. Renowned global leaders including Prof. Dr. Jeyaraj Durai Pandian, President of the World Stroke Organization, participated in the summit.

Nepal Senior Care proudly participated in HISS 2025, engaging with neurologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals, and showcasing its commitment to comprehensive senior and neurological care. The summit strengthened collaboration and knowledge exchange, contributing to the advancement of stroke prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation in Nepal.
